About This Program
AI Agent Club is a code-based after-school program where students learn how to design, build, and test their own AI-powered digital helpers. Instead of simply using AI chatbots, students explore how to create AI agents that can follow goals, complete tasks, work through steps, and collaborate as part of an “AI crew.”
In this hands-on program, students learn how modern AI agents are designed. They will explore concepts such as roles, goals, instructions, memory, tools, task planning, and multi-step workflows. Through guided coding projects, students will create simple AI agents that can help with research, writing, planning, learning, productivity, games, and creative projects.
The main focus of the club is helping students move from AI users to AI builders. Students will learn how to break big problems into smaller tasks, assign different jobs to different agents, test the quality of AI-generated outputs, debug errors, and improve their agent designs through iteration.
Program Focus
The curriculum is built around four major learning areas:
- AI Agent Design
Students learn what AI agents are, how they differ from regular chatbots, and how agents can be designed with specific roles, goals, instructions, and responsibilities.
- Code-Based Agent Building
Students use beginner-friendly coding activities to create AI agents that can receive input, process instructions, generate responses, and complete simple tasks. They will learn how code can organize agent behavior and control how AI systems respond.
- Build Your Own AI Crew
Students design multiple agents with different roles, such as Planner Agent, Research Agent, Writing Agent, Coding Helper, Study Coach, Game Designer, or Presentation Assistant. They will learn how these agents can work together to complete larger projects.
- Testing, Debugging & Responsible AI
Students practice evaluating AI outputs, identifying mistakes, improving instructions, debugging code, and understanding the importance of accuracy, privacy, bias, safety, and human oversight.
What Students Will Learn
Students will learn how to:
- Understand what AI agents are and how they differ from regular chatbots.
- Design AI agents with clear roles, goals, instructions, and task responsibilities.
- Use code to build simple AI-powered digital helpers.
- Create an “AI crew” made of multiple agents that work together on a project.
- Break complex problems into smaller steps that different agents can complete.
- Test, debug, and improve AI-generated results.
- Use prompting, logic, and structured instructions to guide agent behavior.
- Apply AI agents to real-world tasks such as school planning, research, creative writing, presentations, games, productivity, and problem solving.
- Think critically about when AI is helpful, when it may be wrong, and when human judgment is needed.
- Practice responsible AI use, including privacy, accuracy, bias awareness, and ethical decision-making.
Sample Projects
Students may build projects such as:
- Personal Study Coach Agent
- Homework Planner Agent
- Research Assistant Agent
- Creative Writing Agent
- Presentation Builder Agent
- Game Idea Generator Agent
- Debate Prep Agent
- Coding Helper Agent
- Productivity Assistant Agent
- Multi-Agent “AI Crew” Final Project
Why Join This Club?
Become an AI Builder, Not Just an AI User Students learn how to design and build AI-powered tools instead of only asking questions to a chatbot.
Learn Practical Coding Skills Students use code to structure agent behavior, organize tasks, and build interactive AI projects.
Create Your Own AI Crew Students design multiple specialized agents that can work together to plan, research, write, create, and solve problems.
Strengthen Problem-Solving Skills Students learn how to break down complex tasks, test ideas, debug issues, and improve their designs.
Understand Responsible AI Students explore important topics such as accuracy, privacy, bias, digital safety, and human oversight.
Build a Final AI Project By the end of the program, students will create their own AI agent or AI crew project and present how it works.
Who Can Join?
This club is ideal for middle school students interested in AI, coding, technology, creativity, productivity, games, or problem solving. Some prior coding experience is helpful but not required. Students should be curious, willing to experiment, and ready to think like young AI developers.
Final Showcase
At the end of the club, students will present their own AI agent or AI crew project. They will explain what problem their agent solves, how it works, how they tested it, and how they improved it through debugging and iteration.
AI Agent Club gives students an exciting introduction to the future of artificial intelligence by teaching them how to build smart digital helpers with code, creativity, and responsible design.
AI Agent Club
AI Agent Club teaches students how to build their own AI-powered digital helpers using code. Students design agents with specific roles, goals, and tasks, then connect them into an “AI crew” that can plan, research, create, and solve problems through hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and responsible AI use.
